Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and assessments, documenting client histories and treatment progress from initial consultation through discharge.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, addressing their mental, emotional, and behavioral health objectives.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing established therapeutic modalities tailored to the needs of diverse populations.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans based on ongoing assessments.

• Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists and primary care providers to coordinate care for clients requiring more comprehensive support.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, helping them understand mental health challenges and recovery strategies.
\n
• Manage client referrals to specialized services as needed, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.

• Document all interactions and interventions accurately within electronic health record systems, utilizing platforms such as AVATAR to enhance care continuity.

• Engage in proactive outreach to families and primary caregivers, assisting them in supporting their loved ones through challenging situations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse cohort of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing a variety of mental health challenges. Your expertise will contribute to addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, fostering recovery through compassionate and evidence-based practices. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective client engagement and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients and their families.

• In-depth understanding of the mental health landscape, including current best practices in psychotherapy as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in outpatient settings, ideally in a remote work environment.

• Familiarity with running therapy groups and facilitating support interventions for diverse client populations.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of addiction disorders and their impact on mental and emotional health.
\n
• Experience in engaging with clients affected by a range of emotional and physical health challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with a generous sign-on bonus available to qualified candidates.
