Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments through preliminary interviews, documenting client cases from the initial consultation through the course of treatment.

• Evaluate and diagnose clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing DSM-5 criteria to inform treatment strategies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans for various demographics—including individuals, couples, families, and groups—tailored to the clients' unique needs.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques and therapeutic interventions designed to promote mental health recovery.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to enhance effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, social workers, and fellow mental health specialists, to design and implement comprehensive intervention plans.

• Provide follow-up care and establish connections with outside medical professionals for clients who have been referred for additional treatment, ensuring continuity of care.

• Proactively identify and implement strategies to mitigate behaviors that impede recovery while assisting family members and caregivers in managing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The licensed mental health counselor in this role will engage with a diverse range of clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults dealing with varying mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, necessary for effective client interaction and documentation.

• A strong foundation in a variety of therapeutic methodologies and the ability to adapt style to meet client needs.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience working with clients facing physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A comprehensive understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects as prescribed by medical professionals.

• Previous experience in the field as a mental health counselor, demonstrating clinical insight and the ability to foster therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
