Work Environment\n

This position allows for remote work, promoting flexibility while maintaining strong connections with patients and team members. Although primarily remote, the role involves collaboration with a diverse team of mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Our clinic operates from a foundation of trust and transparency, encouraging counselors to express their clinical opinions and actively participate in treatment planning. Scheduled work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions aimed at supporting clients’ mental health journeys, using established therapeutic frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Track and document client progress meticulously, ensuring that treatment records are updated and reflective of each individual’s progress while collaborating with other healthcare professionals for integrated care.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and medical providers to ensure continuity of care, especially for clients transitioning from inpatient settings to outpatient services.

• Provide education and support to family members of clients, equipping them with tools and resources necessary to support their loved ones effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on adult patients, with a significant emphasis on providing services to older adults. Counselors will engage with clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Attention to the unique needs of older adults, including cognitive and emotional challenges associated with aging, will be essential to delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• Current Washington State LMHC license is mandatory.
