Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility; however, the counselor will also work part-time at our outpatient office located in Everett, WA. Our team is deeply committed to collaboration, and regular meetings and consultations will ensure that counselors are supported and integrated into a cohesive treatment environment. Although the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, some evening shifts may be necessary to accommodate patient schedules. Here, you will not only engage with fellow mental health professionals but also work closely with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to deliver comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs and goals of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Collaborate with patients to develop tailored, individualized treatment plans, implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to facilitate recovery.

• Provide one-on-one counseling utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster personal accountability and coping strategies.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote peer support, sharing of experiences, and collective motivation towards sobriety.

• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s well-being are addressed.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during times of substance-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, effective recovery strategies, and community resources available to aid in their transition towards sustainable health.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.

• Actively participate in team meetings and professional development sessions, sharing insights to improve treatment methods and patient outcomes.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health and substance use treatment, integrating new findings into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on adults suffering from substance use disorders, including those battling addiction to alcohol, prescription medications, and illicit drugs. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Recovery Health Treatment Center, you will support clients from various backgrounds, each with their own recovery journey, by fostering an environment of trust and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing counseling services, particularly in the field of substance use treatment.
\n
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, facilitating effective collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary team members.

• Solid understanding of ethical considerations and legal regulations governing mental health practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in a related field is highly desirable.

• Previous experience working in outpatient substance use disorder treatment settings.

• Proficient in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.

• Experience in crisis intervention and management techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
