Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Pathway to Healing Counseling, you will engage in various tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status, specifically focusing on the severity and characteristics of mood disorder symptoms.

• Developing individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients, ensuring their unique needs, goals, and preferences are a central focus of the therapeutic approach.

• Implementing evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote therapeutic progress.

• Providing ongoing education and support to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mood disorders and the available treatment options.

• Tracking and monitoring clients’ progress throughout the duration of treatment, making data-informed adjustments to treatment plans where necessary.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other medical professionals within our practice to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach for clients.

• Staying current with developments and research related to mood disorders, ensuring treatment approaches are informed by the latest evidence.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engaging in professional development activities through participation in case consultations, team meetings, and specialized training in mood disorder interventions.

• Championing the de-stigmatization of mental health issues and advocating for clients’ needs within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with clients who struggle with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. With a diverse clientele, you will be equipped to provide culturally competent care that respects and addresses the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, enhancing collaborative efforts with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from a variety of backgrounds.
