Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments and preliminary interviews with clients to document their mental health status and history.

• Evaluate clients’ emotional, psychological, and social functioning to determine appropriate interventions.
\n
• Collaborate in developing personalized treatment plans that incorporate individual, group, and family therapy modalities.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to foster recovery and growth.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting strategies as necessary based on measurable outcomes.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including psychologists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive client care.

• Maintain open lines of communication with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client health.

• Identify potential risks and behaviors that may hinder recovery and proactively work to mitigate them.

• Provide support and resources to family members and primary caregivers to assist in the management of their loved one's mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client population facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and more. Your role is critical in guiding clients toward understanding their mental health needs, facilitating recovery, and empowering them to achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania.

• Successful completion and passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or therapeutic setting.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, is preferred.
\n
• In-depth understanding of various mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in treating clients with co-occurring disorders, including addiction and other mental health challenges.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) to ensure adherence to clinical guidelines.

• Strong knowledge regarding the pharmacological treatments for mental health conditions and the capacity to discuss potential impacts with clients.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, combined with strong interpersonal abilities and a compassionate demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, reflective of experience and qualifications.
