These sites provide acute care in high-acuity environments, including trauma, strokes, STEMI, OB deliveries, dislocations, chest tubes, intubations, central lines, ultrasound-guided procedures, and laceration repair. Physicians will work in busy, high-volume emergency departments with dedicated support staff and modern technology. Opportunity Details Location: Portland, Texas Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Setting: Emergency Department at a Level IV trauma center Shifts: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, 24-hour shifts Coverage: On-site, no call involvement Duration: Ongoing, ASAP start Schedule Details Shifts are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM 24-hour shifts with dedicated on-site coverage No call responsibilities Clinical Scope Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency patients Management of trauma, strokes, STEMI, OB deliveries, dislocations, chest tubes, intubations, central lines, ultrasound-guided procedures, laceration repair High-acuity patient population across busy emergency departments Practice Environment This network of emergency departments supports a broad spectrum of emergency cases with high patient volumes—approximately 45 to 80 patients daily. Each site is staffed with APP coverage ranging from 9 to 24 hours daily, ensuring comprehensive support for physicians. All sites see high-acuity cases, with no designated trauma centers at the FSED locations but capable of managing complex emergencies. Requirements Active Texas medical license DEA registration in Texas Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience Case logs required for credentialing ABEM certification preferred for Bay Area sites; ABFM or ABIM with ER experience acceptable for FSEDs and ambulatory settings No travel, credentialing, billing, or administrative logistics included or required Rhino Medical is leading the charge.
