Location: Alameda, CA (Hybrid onsite at least 1x/week, 24-hour notice given; day may vary)

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employment Type: Temporary, approximately 6 months

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary:

• Support employee files, including new hire onboarding (I-9s, hiring workflows)
• Assist with terminations, audits, and unemployment claims
• Process HR paperwork and ensure compliance
• Support pre-boarding, onboarding, and offboarding
• Draft and manage employee communications and letters
• Work within HR systems such as Kronos, UKG, and UltiPro (Workday experience a plus)
• Provide administrative support for HR documentation and record-keeping
• Assist with HR compliance projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 2+ years of HR administrative or HR assistant experience
• Strong understanding of full-cycle HR processes, terminology, and compliance
• Experience supporting high-volume HR needs across multiple locations
• Proficiency in MS Office; Kronos/UKG/UltiPro experience desired (Workday a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new processes in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• EDD process experience a plus
