Recruiting Manager

Position Summary The Recruiting Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the full cycle recruiting process, leading and managing a team of recruiters, developing and implementing recruitment strategies, and partnering with hiring managers to meet recruiting needs. The role ensures compliance with regulations and uses high energy and professionalism to attract top talent. Responsibilities Manage the recruitment life cycle from requisition to offer, focusing on director level and above. Develop innovative strategies to attract top talent, enhance candidate experience, and support organizational growth. Oversee a team of recruiting specialists and collaborate closely with hiring managers to ensure timely and successful hiring outcomes across all departments. Manage workload assignments for the Recruiting Team to ensure even distribution of roles. Ensure a seamless best-in-class candidate experience during the recruitment process. Build partnerships with HRBPs and key business stakeholders to develop staffing initiatives. Conduct intake calls with hiring managers to gather role information and identify strong candidates. Review applications, conduct phone screens, evaluate qualifications, and submit the most qualified candidates that align with Busey values. Facilitate and participate in interviewing and hiring, develop candidate summaries, schedule interviews, evaluate and propose compensation packages, prepare offer letters, and submit background checks. Foster strategic recruitment initiatives, design high-impact hiring campaigns, and engage with brand and community to attract and retain talent. Execute sourcing techniques and candidate engagement to fill positions, and maintain accurate applicant data in the ATS. Mentor recruiters, provide coaching and feedback, and promote a positive team culture. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the recruiting team. Perform other duties as assigned and partner with the Human Resources Team. Qualifications Minimum seven years of recruiting experience, including requisition management, candidate sourcing, and screening/interviewing. At least two years of experience leading a recruiting/talent acquisition team. Previous experience in banking or financial institution preferred. Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS). In-depth knowledge of recruitment workflow, sourcing techniques, and best practices. Proven record of managing high-volume recruitment teams across various departments and levels. Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and labor laws. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks. Experience in pay equity, compensation strategy, and talent management preferred. Vendor management and contract experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to enforce First Busey Corporation policies and comply with state and federal laws. Confidentiality and compliance with data privacy. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant work and educational experience required. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $80,000 – $95,000 (base). The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
