Job Description

As a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Driver in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative team while demonstrating integrity and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a government transportation administration location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and reports.
• Document incidents, unusual occurrences, and patrol findings accurately and promptly according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
