Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Hematology/Morphology
$25.19 - $39.09 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for hematology and morphology work in Raritan, New Jersey. The role involves performing routine and complex technical procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring accurate test results in a clinical laboratory setting. Night shift position with alternating Saturday schedules.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following standard operating procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Make technical decisions regarding testing procedures and problem-solving
- Perform preventative maintenance, quality control, and document results accurately
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
- Ability to pass color blindness test
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Experience in high-volume laboratory environment preferred
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Compensation: $25.19 - $39.09 per hour
