This position will be in Huntsville, AL.Position Overview:The selected Modeling and Simulation Engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the System Performance and Analysis - Simulation Team. This role is responsible for providing technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).Seeking candidates who find satisfaction in working on challenging and diverse assignments in collaborative settings across all levels.This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.Basic Qualifications:Software Engineer – Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree with 0 years of experience.Experience with the Atlassian tool suite and software version control tools such as Git and BitbucketExperience with Unit Test and System Test DevelopmentExperience with C, GoLang, ADA, and/or PythonExceptional critical thinking and communicationCapable of working both independently and within a team environment.Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.Must be able to work on-site, in officePreferred Qualifications:Experience with simulation and simulation frameworksExperience with Jira/Confluence/BitbucketExperience with Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, Coverity, SQL DatabasesExperience with containers and container developmentActive Security+ certificationPrimary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
