CNC Machinist (Lathe / Mills)

Our team utilizes advanced High-Velocity Oxygen-Fuel (HVOF) technology and precise machining to deliver wear-resistant solutions to global industries. We pride ourselves on precision, safety, and operational excellence. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for both pre-coating part preparation and post-coating precision finishing. Because we work with high-performance carbide and ceramic coatings, you will play a critical role in hitting tight tolerances (+0/-.002") and delivering flawless surface finishes. Key Responsibilities- Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines (Haas equipment) to machine industrial components.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and job routers.
- Precision Machining: Perform pre-machining to prepare parts for thermal spray and post-machining to finish-grind or turn parts to final specifications.
- Quality Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) to inspect your own work and ensure 100% accuracy.
- Daily Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or vertical machining centers in a job shop environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of G-code, tool offsets, and speed/feed adjustments.
- Tolerances: Proven ability to hold and verify tight tolerances (up to +/- 0.001").
- Manual Cross-Over: Experience with manual lathes, cylindrical grinders, or surface grinders is a major plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
