Take the next step in your career with us!Position Specific DescriptionSeeking an experienced commercial transactions attorney to support complex commercial transactions for NextEra’s natural-gas fired generation, data center, and advanced nuclear development businesses. The attorney would be responsible for drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements, tolling agreements, joint venture agreements, joint development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and other commercial agreements related to these fast-growing businesses. Applicant must be a team player with a demonstrated commercial acumen who relates well with clients, management, and counterparties and who can thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. This role will sit onsite in Juno Beach, FL or Houston, TX. Job OverviewEmployees in this job participate in complex legal matters and projects and deliver timely and quality legal services to clients with minimal supervision.Job Duties & Responsibilities• Provides written and oral legal advice to clients
• Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the organization
• Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel
• Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership
