POSITION SUMMARY The HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The individual in this role may be involved in recruitment, payroll administration and any other area of human resources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides support for the recruiting process (e.g., schedule interviews, send background checks, attend job fairs/recruitment events as needed, conduct drug tests and contact select candidates). Coordinates the new hire orientation process (schedule orientation, prepare orientation paperwork, create employee files), including I‑9 completion/compliance. Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Provides support on auditing, review and processing the paperwork and forms. Participates in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs and HR assessments. Maintains confidentiality and performs all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures. Supports company Open Enrollment period to ensure smooth processing. Supports payroll processing. Other duties as assigned. OTHER DUTIES Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES High school diploma or GED required. 1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred. Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months that can range from mild to moderate. Local language required. Results‑oriented. Excellent organizational skills. High level of interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. Attention to detail and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Must have a high sense of urgency and customer service focus. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must be flexible with shifting priorities and business needs, including working a flexible schedule to support the business. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Occasionally: Bending; frequently: Walking and Standing; constantly: Ability to Lift/Carry and Push/Pull; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. COMPENSATION For this position, the expected base pay range is $25.00 – $27.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
