Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, enabling you to provide critical mental health services from the comfort of your home. While you will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals through virtual channels, you will also have the autonomy to manage your schedule and sessions effectively, maintaining a balanced work-life integration. Our regular work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, helping you to maintain consistency in your professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their unique psychological needs and care requirements.

• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions, addressing emotional challenges related to aging, loss, and significant life transitions.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop detailed, personalized care plans that enhance the quality of life for geriatric clients.

• Educate families and staff on effective strategies to improve emotional well-being, thriving on open communication and shared goals.

• Provide targeted grief and loss counseling, assisting residents and their families through the complexities of end-of-life issues.

• Integrate cognitive stimulation programs and other mental health interventions to promote mental acuity and overall wellness amongst elderly individuals.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to the aging population.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on elderly residents dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress related to aging. Many clients may face challenges such as grief from losing loved ones, the emotional turmoil of life transitions like retirement, or the psychological impact of physical health declines. As an LMHC, you will play a vital role in developing their coping strategies and support systems while promoting resilience and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
