Project Accountant

Project Accountant – Chesterfield, MO The role supports iSuite’s project accounting functions for construction projects, providing financial analysis, billing, reporting, and vendor coordination. Responsibilities Provide project finance support and analysis for assigned projects. Set up new jobs based on job information sheets. Request and track Certificates of Insurance for assigned projects. Review and enforce contract requirements, special provisions, and terms & conditions. Prepare customer billing and ensure timely and accurate billing documentation. Assist in collection of outstanding payments and educate on timing impacts on cash management. Submit all required project‑related reporting, such as certified payroll. Follow purchasing procedures for goods purchased for assigned projects. Troubleshoot vendor issues applying knowledge of the accounts payable process. Assist in coding subcontractor and equipment invoices in Vista. Request subcontractor and other vendor invoices when necessary. Conduct monthly reviews of projections and budgets to ensure accurate cost and revenue recognition. Deliver high‑quality customer service, maintain a positive attitude, and support teammates. Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in billing and job management. Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed. Self‑starter with strong teamwork skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to make quick, informed decisions. Capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment. Discretion and strict awareness when handling sensitive or confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and process improvement focus. Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint software preferred. Experience with unions and background in construction industry valued.
