Job Summary
ICU Nurse Intensive Care Unit Springfield, MA. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill patients in a Level 1 ICU setting. The position requires proactive management of complex cases, including sepsis, ESRD, AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure, with an emphasis on patient monitoring and support.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU Float position for a Medical Intensive Care and Neuro Critical Care Units, with the flexibility to float to Medical High Acuity Care Center, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, and Intermediate Care. The unit is a 32-bed Medical ICU licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients, split between two floors with generally strong staffing.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS (both through the American Heart Association). Education as an RN, with at least 1 year of clinical experience in a Level 1 ICU setting or 2 years in an ICU setting, preferred.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, anticipated start date on 11/02/2026, with end date on 01/30/2027.
• Additional Information: Candidates should possess a strong ICU background with good clinical experience. Newly licensed nurses with only one year of experience may not be suitable for this unit.
