Job Description

As an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and function as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. The operating room environment demands professionalism, clinical excellence, collaboration, and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care within the Operating Room setting.
• Assist in various surgical procedures including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Laparoscopic, Urology, Ophthalmology, and more.
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Maryland RN license or valid Compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Surgical Services environment.
• BLS certification required.
• 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course required by the 27th week.
• 8-hour annual trauma CEUs required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
