Job Description

The Medical Assistant will support clinical operations in a primary care and cardiology setting. Chart preparation, telephone triage and authorization forms, working within a medium-sized team of 4-10 staff members. This role balances direct patient care with administrative responsibilities (ie. refills, chart prep, inbasket help), utilizing Epic medical software to optimize healthcare delivery at a single location.

 

13 Week Contract ( TEMP TO HIRE )!

Hours: 08:30 am - 5:00 pm - Mon-Fri

Years of experience: At least 6 months of experience working as an MA; Cardiology experience is preferred but will consider candidate with primary care setting experience instead, if necessary

 

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Document medical history and relevant patient information
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis
• Schedule and manage patient appointments
• Room patients efficiently to maintain clinic flow

 

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pending License Accepted: MA-C is preferred but will consider MA-R

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), especially Epic
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong patient communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
