Meet the Team We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically-minded Engineering Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for managing the development and implementation of company products and services, overseeing cross-functional projects from concept to release. You will play a key part in defining and executing project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies, with the ability to contribute to solving straightforward business problems and drive project success. Your Impact Lead small to low complexity/risk projects, or contribute to the management of modules within larger programs of low to moderate risk. Develop, define, and implement project plans, including schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Monitor project progress from initiation through delivery, including planning and advising schedules and budget/spending. Assign and monitor the work of project/program management staff, providing technical support and direction as needed. Organize cross-functional activities to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget constraints. Track progress against plans, facilitate trade-off discussions on scope, schedule, and resources, and report to management. Contribute to the solution of straightforward business problems related to operations, products, services, or customers. Apply knowledge of the product development lifecycle and engineering processes (e.g., requirements analysis, design, coding, xDVT) to own projects. Apply knowledge of process improvement metrics to specific project requirements, ensuring project quality aligns with strategic priorities. Analyze information, ask clarifying questions, and ensure understanding using standard procedures. Review project requirements and support the development of project plans and deliverables (e.g., dashboards). Conduct risk analysis to identify specific project risks and dependencies relevant to project scope. Obtain budgetary estimates for planning and monitoring financial/materials resources. Identify and research appropriate partners at various levels for effective relationship building. Establish relationships and collaborate effectively with own team and cross-functional partners. Minimum Qualifications Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or degree program (e.g., Associates, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification in a specialized program + 3 years of relevant experience, High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience, Bachelors + 2 years of relevant experience) or Masters + 0 years of relevant experience. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $110,400.00 - $183,600.00 Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $106,600.00 - $162,000.00
