Tax Manager – Cincinnati, OH

A well-respected Cincinnati-area CPA firm is adding a Tax Manager to its growing team. This is a chance to own a diverse client book, lead and develop staff, and work directly with business owners and individuals who value proactive planning, without the bureaucracy of a large national firm.

What You'll Do:

Manage a portfolio of individual, partnership, S-corp, C-corp, and fiduciary tax engagements from planning through filing
Review returns, workpapers, and projections prepared by staff and seniors
Deliver proactive tax planning and consulting to closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
Research complex federal, state, and local tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly
Respond to IRS and state notices and represent clients as needed
Train, mentor, and coach staff and senior accountants
Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and client relationships

What You Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation a plus
Active CPA license (or EA with strong public accounting background)
5+ years of public accounting tax experience, including review responsibility
Strong knowledge of individual and pass-through entity taxation
Experience with professional tax software (CCH, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar)
Excellent communication and client-service skills
