We provide neurodiversity-affirming, play-based, family-centered care and believe effective therapy starts with understanding each child’s individual strengths, needs, interests, and relationships.\nWe are looking for Occupational Therapists who are excited about helping children and families make meaningful progress without a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment.\nOur ideal candidate values collaboration with families, respects neurodiversity, and is interested in continuing to grow clinically. Experience with—or an interest in learning—the DIR/Floortime approach is highly desirable.\n\nNew Graduates and Therapists Changing Specialties Welcome\nYou do not need to arrive knowing everything about pediatric practice.\nWe provide individualized mentoring and professional development to support therapists transitioning from student to independent clinician as well as experienced therapists moving from another specialty into pediatrics.\n\nDepending on the therapist’s interests and professional goals, advanced training opportunities may include:\n\n DIR/Floortime certification\n Ayres Sensory Integration\n Advanced feeding therapy\n Other specialty training that supports the needs and mission of the practice\n\n\nPosition Details\nWe are hiring a full-time or part-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist for our Shirley clinic.\nWe are open to discussing flexible scheduling. Because after-school appointments are highly important to the families we serve, part-time schedules must include some after-school availability. The specific days and hours can be discussed based on the therapist’s availability and the needs of the clinic.\nNo weekend hours are required.\n\nYour Role\n\n Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized, functional treatment plans\n Provide play-based interventions addressing areas such as regulation, social-emotional development, motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, feeding, and daily living skills\n Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support meaningful carryover beyond the therapy session\n Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with clinic standards\n Collaborate with other therapists and members of the child’s team when appropriate\n\n\nOpportunities to Grow With Us\nWe want therapists to have opportunities to develop professionally—not simply build a larger caseload.\nTherapists may have the opportunity to help develop programs in areas of personal clinical interest when those interests align with the needs of our families and the mission of Nashoba Pediatric Therapies.
