Tax Accounting Clerk
Job Title: Accounting Clerk Location: Tampa, FL Shift: First 8:00am- 5:00 PM Monday- Friday Pay Rate: $26.00 an hour Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; 3 month contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support indirect tax compliance processes, including coordination of data and payment requests with third-party advisors for:
- Prepare and file select indirect tax returns, including:
- Assist with tax registrations and other miscellaneous compliance-related filings
- Provide support for direct tax compliance as needed, including
- Monitor and summarize developments in tax legislation and assess potential impacts
- Perform tax research and document conclusions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 12 years of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience preferred
- Experience with the following systems is a plus: Microsoft Dynamics AX (or similar ERP system), Corptax, BNA Tax Research, OneStream (or other consolidation tools)
- Clearly conveys information to internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Delivers accurate, organized, and high-quality work
- Interprets tax data and identifies issues or opportunities
- Proactively resolves issues with practical solutions
- Works effectively across teams and functions
- Takes responsibility and works independently
