Job Title: Mechanical Engineer 2
Location: East Peoria,IL 61611
Duration: 12 Months
Daily Schedule : Monday - Friday, some rare weekend days when there are project specific needs.
Position's Contributions to Work Group:
- Support Senior Engineer by completing design tasks.
- Potential for additional responsibility depending on experience and demonstrated success in the role.
- The worker will be performing entry-level duties and should have a genuine interest in this aspect of the role.

Typical task breakdown:
- Concept design and part modeling using Creo.
- Stress & life analysis
Interaction with team:
- Works closely with Senior Design Engineer
- Interacts with suppliers, supplier development engineers, and internal CAT process partners (Quality, Operations, etc.)
Team Structure
- Can be a global team - this role will be supporting the local team - with about 20 members - would be working closly with 2-3 team members
- Very experienced and welcoming team.
- Interact regularly with global team members.
Work environment:
- Will be located with the core design team in an office adjacent to a machining and assembly facility. Will sit in a cubical with other engineers from the team.
- 80% office - boots, eye, ear
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: 2-4 years
- Degree requirement: BS in Mechanical Engineering - relevant (Manufacturing, Automotive)
- No 2 year degrees
- Masters must still have 2 years of experience
- Do you accept internships as job experience: No

• Reading technical drawings & prints
• Mechanical design experience
