We are a therapist and woman-owned and operated company.Additional Details: This is an in-person position.Highly supportive and collaborative school district that values its team.Travel package and relocation support for candidates interested in moving to the area.Unique travel opportunity to experience and work in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.Potential to transition into a traditional role if you enjoy the district and community.Compensation: up to $65; travel stipend can be discussed for candidates who are willing to relocateResponsibilities:Provide direct special education services to students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing in accordance with IEPs.Develop and implement individualized instructional plans that support language, communication, academic achievement, and self- advocacy.Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, interpreters, and related service providers.Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, eligibility meetings, and progress reviews.Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and classroom environments to ensure communication access.Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and complete required reports.Support students in the use of hearing technology and classroom accommodations.Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding strategies for supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and educational planning.Maintain compliance with district policies and federal and state special education regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor 's or Master's degree in special education, deaf or hard of hearing, or related field.Valid Alaskan Teacher Licensure, along with an endorsement of Deaf and Hard of Hearing TeachingExperience working with school-aged students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is preferred.Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education procedures.Familiarity with hearing technology, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and FM/DM systems.Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience with American Sign Language (ASL), Total Communication, Listening and Spoken Language, or other communication approaches as appropriate for students.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to pass all required background checks and district onboarding requirements.Benefits:Health Benefits on Day 1 (Medical, Dental, Vision) with 50% employer contribution401k with match and immediate vesting, 100% match for the first 3% and 50% for 4 % and 5% (also a part-time benefit)Up to 40 hours PTO/sick time (also a part-time benefit)State Licensure ReimbursementNational Certification StipendProfessional liability insurance (also a part-time benefit)Cancer insurance (also a part-time benefit)Pet insurance (also a part-time benefit)Life insurance (also a part-time benefit)Catastrophe medical (also a part-time benefit)Please see our website here to learn more about us: contact Karen Knight for more information and additional details.
