Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern works individually and/or as part of the Credit, Accounting, and Payroll team to accomplish the following duties: Duties Accounts Payable- assist in processing, coding, and entry of various accounts payable transactions Account Reconciliation- Tie supporting documentation to ledger accounts each month. Investigate variances and propose solutions for out of balance accounts while working with members of the team Documentation- work on documenting accounting procedures and processes, update current documents Month End- assist with various month end close duties Treasury Functions- assist with daily treasury functions as needed including bank transfers, daily wire and ACH processing, bank deposits, and transfers Tax- Assist with tax and other governmental reporting and filing including sales and use tax, motor fuel tax, and checkoffs Provide backup when others are out of the office Fixed Asset Review-work with location managers to review fixed asset lists Data clean up and collection-work on cleaning up data in system Education and/or Experience: High School diploma and working towards an ag business, accounting, or other related business degree.
