Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked international law firm seeking a 3rd to 5th year Capital Markets Associate to join its Houston, TX office on a hybrid basis. This is a 100 percent transactional role focused on advising issuers, underwriters and placement agents across a range of securities offerings, with meaningful exposure to sophisticated deal execution. The firm offers a well established platform with a collaborative, partner led approach and the resources of a large, multi office practice, while maintaining strong local market connectivity in Houston. The Opportunity You will support and run core workstreams on IPOs, follow on public offerings, and private placements, helping clients navigate execution and disclosure considerations and working closely with senior lawyers throughout the transaction lifecycle. Experience advising on ongoing public company reporting is helpful but not required. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 3rd to 5th year Capital Markets Associate with: 3 to 5 years of capital markets and securities offerings experience Experience representing issuers, underwriters, and placement agents in IPOs and follow on offerings Experience with private placements and related offering documentation and process management Ability to work effectively in a hybrid schedule with four days per week in office Why This Opportunity Stands Out This role offers a strong Houston seat within a broader Am Law platform, with the chance to build depth in capital markets work while taking on meaningful responsibility and receiving close partner support.
