Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Active teaching certification with appropriate special education endorsement
• Experience working with alternate curriculum and/or life skills classrooms
• Strong communication skills, compassion, and adaptability
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Willingness to collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel
• Familiarity with both elementary and high school populations is a plus

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Deliver engaging, modified curriculum aligned with students’ abilities and goals
• Implement IEPs, collect data, monitor progress, and report findings
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom culture that encourages independence and self-advocacy
