Aerospace Production Cnc Operator - Grand Prairie, TxImmediately Hiring!Payrate: $23.03 Hourly2nd Shift - 1:30PM - 10:00PMWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience operating and programming CNC machines, with preferred familiarity with Zimmermann high-speed milling machines. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of producing precision components while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, set up, and monitor CNC milling machines, with a focus on Zimmermann portal/gantry milling systemsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirementsWrite, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) for complex part geometriesPerform tool selection, tool changes, and offsets to ensure dimensional accuracyConduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM)Identify and resolve machine faults, tooling issues, and program errors proactivelyPerform routine maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams for scheduled servicingMaintain accurate production records, inspection logs, and machine utilization reportsAdhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and proceduresCollaborate with engineers, quality teams, and production planners to meet delivery targetsMentor and support junior CNC operators as neededRequired Qualifications & SkillsEducationHigh School Diploma or GED (required)Technical/Vocational Certificate or Associate's Degree in Machining Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred)ExperienceMinimum 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred 5+ years)Demonstrated experience with 5 Axis machiningPreferred experience with large-format or gantry-style CNC milling machinesStrong knowledge of CNC control systemsTechnical SkillsUnderstanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection equipmentAbility to machine a variety of materials including acrylic.Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and cutting parametersPreferred QualificationsDirect hands-on experience with F.
