Job Overview A law firm seeks a Municipal Associate in Los Angeles, CA, with 5-7 years of transactional municipal experience to join their Public Law team. The candidate will advise public agency clients and manage various municipal matters. Responsibilities Draft and negotiate public works contracts and other municipal documents. Advise on compliance with public contracting and open meeting laws. Prepare staff reports, resolutions, and ordinances. Attend and present at city council and board meetings. Assist with procurement processes, including RFPs and bid documents. Collaborate on land use, real estate, and regulatory compliance matters. Requirements Significant experience advising public agency clients on transactional matters. Excellent writing, research, drafting, and analytical skills. Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset. Ability to manage matters independently and interface with public officials. Admission to the State Bar of California. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
