Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Title Travel RN - Emergency Room Location Asheville, NC Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Work flexibly across all sections of the ED, including triage, cardiac monitoring unit, and internal processing areas
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and keeping patients and boards updated throughout each visit
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including techs and unit clerks to deliver care to a diverse, multicultural patient population
- Coach and provide real-time feedback while maintaining flexibility to meet departmental scheduling needs
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Active RN license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality and ability to work in all areas of the ED
- Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
- Experience serving diverse, multilingual patient populations
