Multiple positions are open, allowing you to choose between high school or elementary/middle school placements-both offering a meaningful impact and dynamic caseloads in collaborative environments.


Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

• Valid and current EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (screenshot of official score required)
• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings
• Fluency in American Sign Language and strong understanding of Deaf culture
• Ability to adapt interpretation style for students in K-8th or 9th-12th grades
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting IEP goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site sign language interpretation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within classroom and school-wide activities
• Prepare for specialized classroom assignments and integrate interpreting resources as needed
• Facilitate clear communication between students, peers, and staff, ensuring equitable access to instruction and school participation
• Support student engagement and comprehension by adapting interpretation to grade-appropriate language and content
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to meet individual student needs and promote inclusive learning experiences

Opportunities Available:

• Position 1: High School (9th-12th grade), 35 hrs/week, Aug 10, 2026 - May 20, 2027, 12 students total, 1-3 students per class
• Position 2: Elementary-Middle School (K-8th), 35 hrs/week, Aug 17, 2026 - May 28, 2027, 30 students total, 1-5 students per class
