Associate Designer - J.Crew Factory Men's Knits

Role Overview Work closely with the Senior Designer and cross‑functional teams to create concepts, and develop fabrics, stripe layouts, trims, and graphics. Prepare professional presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, fabrication, and garment samples. Assist in research of seasonal trends, themes, colors, raw materials, styling, and trims. Work with Technical Design in preparing specs from initial concept to technical design cards. Work with Production to maintain design concept throughout the production process. Responsibilities Collaborate with Senior Designer and cross‑functional teams to develop design concepts. Create fabrics, stripe layouts, trims, and graphics. Prepare presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, and garment samples. Research seasonal trends, themes, colors, raw materials, styling, and trims. Coordinate with Technical Design to produce specifications from concept to technical design cards. Work with Production to ensure design concept is maintained throughout production. Qualifications 2-4 years of design experience. Apparel Design or related degree. Demonstrated creative sense and ability. Trend/fashion awareness. Technical sketching ability (flat and illustration). Working knowledge of knit garment construction and trim. Garment measurement and specification experience. Knowledge of lab dips and garment dye. Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word. Knowledge of PLM. Benefits & Perks Medical, dental, prescription, and vision insurance.
