Responsible for sub assembly, building, quality control and packaging of finished product.Essential FunctionsUnpack strut, springs and component for assemblyAble to work in all stage of the production process, sub assembly, building, packaging. Must be able to operate the Sturt machine, Strut machine and use the torque wrench.Complete quality assurance testing on productsMaintain storage for material and product inventoryAssist with recycling of cardboard and plastic as time permitsTransport materials, parts, supplies and equipment as well as packing and shipping product throughout the department via order picker, forklift or pallet jack.Ensure supplies, boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc., are in stock, inform manager to reorder levels.Provide training/cross-training in equipment and process operations as needed.Maintain cleanliness of production area.Oversee compliance of practices and maintain an orderly and safe warehouse and shipping area.Develop and maintain a good working relationship and open lines of communication with all departments to ensure Department, Company, and Customer goals are achieved.All other duties and responsibilities as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesGood understanding of inventory managementStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate clearly and conciselyWillingness to learn & adaptStrong math, reading and writing skillsComputer proficient and able to use company ERP systemsForklift certificationPhysical ability to stand for long periods of timePhysical ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with two-person lift.Training and Experience2-5 years of warehouse experiencePhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend a large majority of time walking, standing and using hands to push/pull. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is required to lift and/or move up to 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with two-person lift.
