Machine Operator I- 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLDdivision is currently seeking a Machine Operator I - 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The rate for this position is $24.87 per hour plus an additional $.50 per hour shift premium. What you’ll do: The Machine Operator will be required to operate sheet metal fabrication machines, read shop orders, read and understand engineering drawings, perform quality checks, and use calibration equipment such as calipers, or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions. In this function, you will: Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum) Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering) Safety & Quality Training necessary, but not limited to: Types of Mechanical Power Presses Safe Guarding Requirements Trip Devices Press Inspections Dye Setting Light Curtain Blanking Procedure Basic Operating Controls First Piece Quality Inspection In-process Quality Inspection Linknet training Laser Operator Training Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: A minimum of 6 months Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience reading blueprints, schematics or technical manuals. Experience with calibration equipment such as calipers. Prior SAP experience Proficient with basic computer applications.
