Pump Assembly TechnicianThe Pump Assembly Technician is responsible for disassembling pumps used in the water and oil industries. The technician will break down the pumps using micrometers and calipers to perform measurements, and utilize torque and impact tools. After disassembling and measuring, the technician will provide essential information to a partner for customer repair quotations. Additionally, the technician will perform inspection, assembly, and testing duties for pumps and compressors.Responsibilities:Disassemble pumps using micrometers, calipers, torque, and impact tools.Provide measurement information for repair quotations.Perform inspection, assembly, and testing of pumps and compressors.Assemble blowers and exhausters according to blueprints.Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Assurance Departments for troubleshooting and problem-solving.Apply standard work practices and adhere to safety rules and environmental regulations.Follow 6s (5s) principles, operate cranes and fork trucks with provided training and certification.Use machinery and hand tools as necessary.Essential Skills:Minimum of 1 year experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.Assembly experience.Ability to perform repetitive lifting/carrying of up to 20 lbs.Strong mechanical aptitude.Ability to work overtime as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Familiarity with impact, torque, and hand tools.Experience with hydraulics, micrometers, and calipers is a plus.Competency in using various power (pneumatic) hand tools.Proven track record of delivering high-quality assembly work with attention to detail and adherence to standards.Ability to lift 50+ lbs.Experience in machine operation, carpentry, and general labor.Why Work Here?Imagine working in a company with a history of over 160 years in technology leadership, combined with the energy of a startup. Technicians typically work in pairs within a shop environment. The facility operates Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential overtime extending to 4:30 pm. The team consists of 15 Service Technicians, 1 manual machinist, 2 Assemblers, and about 4 warehouse personnel. Candidates must have their own steel toe shoes.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Peters, MO.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
