PURPOSE:
The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for supervising overall purchasing processes and activities, which include contracting, bidding, and procuring products and services.KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Develop and maintain related documentation. Manage vendor relations, which includes maintaining vendor report card and supervising vendor performance. Evaluate suppliers for material, service, performance, and price, which includes qualifying and/or approving new suppliers and contractors. Maintain inventory of production materials and perform daily and quarterly reviews of inventory levels. Set stock reorder quantities. Act as a subject matter expert on purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines. Supervise assigned staff. Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
Bachelor's degree Experience with Procurement and/or Purchasing in Oil and Gas industry Knowledge of MRP (material requirements planning) processes in an ERP systemCOMPETENCIES:
