Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support project and product delivery initiatives within the utility/energy industry. The Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, designers, developers, and other cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), electric utility/power generation, Adobe technologies, and Microsoft Power BI, along with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, requirements management, and user acceptance testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and meetings with Business, Design, Development, and other stakeholders.
• Document current-state and future-state (As-Is / To-Be) business processes.
• Support system input/output analysis, interface mapping, and business process documentation.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirements, backlog, user stories, and project tracking.
• Support functional testing, UAT, defect tracking, and requirements traceability.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure delivered solutions meet approved requirements.
• Assist with pre-release testing and validation.
• Develop and maintain business and training documentation.
• Participate in Agile discovery and product-development activities.
• Support RFP activities, including requirements gathering, process-flow mapping, and demonstrations.
• Assist with business-case development, business analysis, and technology feasibility studies.
• Coordinate activities across multiple teams and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve business processes, internal controls, and customer service.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a complex enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Experience in electric utility, energy, or power-generation environments.
• Strong requirements-gathering and business-process analysis skills.
• Experience creating epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience supporting UAT and functional testing.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and business domains.
• Ability to work effectively across Business, Design, Development, QA, and other teams.

• Experience working within the utility/energy sector.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
