Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Unit-VIII (Full Time Night) Location: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ 07112-2027 Department: Medical-Surgical Unit-VIII Shift: Night (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) Pay Range: $49.28 - $66.05 per hour Job Overview The Registered Nurse provides quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. The RN implements the hospital’s mission and goals through policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities, administering individualized, age‑specific care to patients in the unit, and incorporating developmental principles in assessment and treatment planning. Required Certifications and Licenses Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement BLS certification through American Heart Association Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing 1+ year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience Scheduling Requirements Night shift: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am Every other weekend required; week schedule varies based on department needs Essential Functions The role of the Professional Registered Nurse includes providing comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, performing assessments, planning and implementing individualized nursing care, monitoring patient progress, administering medications and interventions, promoting patient safety, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
