Accounting Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, project accounting, and compliance-related activities. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on professional with strong accounting skills, Costpoint experience, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Maintain and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and company policies. Use Deltek Costpoint to support accounting operations, reporting, project accounting, billing, and financial data integrity. Assist with financial statement preparation, management reporting, and variance analysis. Support accounting activities, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, contract billing, indirect rate support, and expense allocation. Partner with internal stakeholders across various departments to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy. Assist with audit requests, compliance documentation, and internal control support. Provide ad hoc accounting, reporting, and analysis support as needed. Qualifications: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA preferred. 3–10 years of progressive accounting experience. Costpoint experience required. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month‑end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and GAAP. Advanced Excel skills and strong comfort working with accounting systems and financial data. Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
