What You’ll Do as a Second Sous Chef As our Second Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and our dishes maintain the high standards our customers love. Working closely with our Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll take on a supervisory role while honing your skills in every aspect of food preparation. Here’s what your responsibilities will include: Learn and master all cooking and preparation stations , including making pasta from scratch. Oversee weekly inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure accurate weekly orders. Check in and properly store vendor deliveries to maintain freshness and organization. Ensure sanitation procedures are followed to keep the kitchen safe and clean. Assist in maintaining menu preparation consistency and suggest improvements to food preparation. Train less experienced cooks based on your expertise and skills. Expedite server orders at the pickup station , ensuring timely and accurate distribution. Collaborate with the Chef and Sous Chef to uphold our reputation for outstanding Italian cuisine. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate with at least 1 year of culinary experience who is eager to grow and contribute to our team. To succeed in this role, you should have: A passion for Italian food and a willingness to learn traditional cooking techniques. Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and oversee kitchen operations. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Leadership abilities to train and guide less experienced team members. A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with the Chef and Sous Chef.
