Product Manager, Enterprise Data

Salary: $76,000 - 114,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data, analytics, or product roles, including 2 or more years managing data or analytics products.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake or a comparable data management platform, including data modeling, views, security and access roles, and performance and cost considerations.
• Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex, such as Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, or LLM functions, and with how semantic models or views support governed AI access to data.
• Understanding of the foundations of AI-ready data, including metadata, semantic definitions, data quality, lineage, and governance.
• Experience with Qlik Cloud or a comparable visualization tool, such as Power BI or Tableau, including defining requirements and metrics with developers.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders, lead discovery, manage expectations, and encourage adoption.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders.
• Familiarity with ERP data, master data management, and data governance concepts.
• Working-level experience with dbt, SQL, or Python is a plus; software development expertise is not required.
• Product management, agile, or data governance certifications, such as SAFe or CDMP.
• Experience defining data contracts or SLAs, or working with data mesh and federated ownership models.

• Set the vision, roadmap, and success measures for our enterprise data products.
• Manage and prioritize the backlog, balancing business value, effort, data readiness, and governance needs.
• Manage data as a product, with clear ownership and consumers, documented SLAs, versioning, and a lifecycle from discovery through retirement.
• Serve as the primary contact for business leaders and process owners; lead discovery, translate business questions into data requirements, and confirm outcomes after releases.
• Explain roadmaps, trade-offs, and results clearly to audiences from analysts to senior executives.
• Develop a community of data product users and champions who provide ongoing feedback.
• Own the enterprise data product backlog and develop and refine epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with functional teams.
• Establish a transparent intake and prioritization process using an agreed framework, such as value versus effort, WSJF, or business impact scoring.
• Partner with functional managers to facilitate agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint and release planning, and reviews.
• Make and communicate decisions about scope, priorities, and timing, escalating conflicts to the Director when necessary.
• Monitor roadmap delivery and report progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership and the enterprise PMO.
• Partner with the BI team to deliver curated datasets and dashboards in Qlik Cloud, ensuring metrics are consistent and reusable across tools.
• Define KPIs and metrics so they have consistent meanings across the organization.
• Monitor product usage and adoption, using findings to improve or retire products.
• Work with Data Governance and Master Data Management to incorporate ownership, stewardship, data quality rules, access controls, and lineage into each product.
• Ensure our data products follow our AI and data governance policies and risk classification standards.
• Partner with engineers, architects, and analysts in agile delivery, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria and removing blockers.
• Measure and report product outcomes, including adoption, time-to-insight, data quality, and business impact.
• Establish product management practices, templates, and routines for Enterprise Data & AI Services.
• Help shape the future Product Owner model by business domain and mentor Product Owners once appointed.

We are hiring a Product Manager for Enterprise Data to lead product direction across four enterprise data teams: Data Architecture & Engineering, Reporting & Analytics, Data Governance, and AI Engineering. This is a product leadership role focused on taking business needs through to delivered products, rather than project management or hands-on engineering. The role is a peer to functional data and AI managers. It is hybrid and requires someone within commuting distance of Easton, Pennsylvania.
