About This Role

First Steps Children Learning Center is looking for a caring, responsible, and energetic Pre-K Teacher to join our team! We are a nurturing childcare center dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for young children.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Full Time

• Teaching children core concepts such as numbers, letters, shapes, and colors.
• Using creative, hands-on learning methods such as artistic expression, storytelling, and free play.
• Planning and implementing a curriculum that supports early childhood education standards.
• Encouraging and monitoring positive social interactions between children.
• Instilling respect, structure, and positive behavior in the classroom.
• Supervising children during classroom activities, lunch, playground time, and field trips.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Setting up materials and learning spaces needed for daily activities.
• Communicating with parents about children’s development and daily progress.
• Preparing reports to inform parents about their children’s progress.

• Experience working with young children (daycare or preschool preferred).
• Ability to teach using age-appropriate language and learning methods.
• Patience, compassion, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
• Strong classroom management and conflict mediation skills.
• Creative mindset to plan engaging and innovative lessons.
• Reliable and responsible.
• Ability to pass background check.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).
