Join our dynamic team as a Department Supervisor at a leading Precision OD/ID Grinding Company! In this energetic and vital role, you will oversee daily operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring that our grinding processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and operators, coordinate workflows on the assembly line, and uphold the highest standards of quality and productivity. Your mechanical knowledge, factory experience, and leadership skills will drive continuous improvement and foster a positive work environment where safety and precision are paramount.

Duties

• Supervise daily manufacturing activities on the production floor, focusing on precision OD (Outer Diameter) and ID (Inner Diameter) grinding operations
• Coordinate and prioritize tasks across the assembly line to meet production schedules and quality standards
• Lead, motivate, and train team members in the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols by conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a safety-first culture
• Manage warehouse activities including inventory control, material handling with forklifts, and shipping/receiving processes
• Oversee the use of factory equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
• Maintain detailed records of production metrics, incident reports, and operational logs to support continuous improvement initiatives

Skills

• Must have OD/ID Grinding experience (minimum 3 years)
• Must be able to use micrometers, indicators, dial bore gages
• Must be able to run manual lathe machines
• Proven experience in manufacturing facilities with a focus on precision grinding or similar machining processes
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to assembly lines, hand tools, power tools, and factory machinery
• Familiarity with manual lathe machines
• Familiarity with factory safety procedures and ability to enforce safety standards effectively
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand manufacturing specifications
