Financial Assistant I

Reports To: Accounting Supervisor Position: Full Time (40 hrs/week) Monday-Friday Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Flexible Schedule available upon approval. Hourly, Nonexempt Overview A Financial Assistant I at The Gori Law Firm is responsible for financial data entry, general bookkeeping, and other clerical duties to support the Accounting Department. Skills & Abilities Competent to Proficient knowledge and demonstrated skill set in: MS Office Excel, Word, and Adobe Typing, inputting, and processing numbers with accuracy Mathematical capability to process fractions and percentages Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy within a fast-paced work environment Ability to type quickly and accurately Ability to work independently or in teams Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Self-motivated and well-organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask Punctual and predictable attendance Job duties must be regularly performed in the office Preferred: 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Position Duties Responsible for financial data entry and general bookkeeping. Prepare spreadsheets for data entry. Maintain accurate records in accounting software and electronic client management systems. Scan, print, and save documents utilizing the firm’s digital filing system. Other duties as assigned. Education, Certificates & Licenses High School Diploma or GED; higher education in financial, legal, or related fields preferred. Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
