Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: RN ADN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC Must-Have Skills/Experience: Experience with Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation Preferred Skillset/Experience: 2 years in Emergency Department Description: This position offers an opportunity to work in a level III trauma center. The facility provides healthcare services to a diverse patient population. Services include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. Additional services provided are a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, and more. The facility is recognized for its beautiful layout and has received various awards in healthcare. The Emergency Department consists of 48 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in the Fast Track area. Team nursing is implemented along with a pod system. A social worker is assigned to the department and a unit educator is available for support. Common diagnoses treated in this department include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychiatric disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain. This role is key in managing critical cases and providing quality care to patients.
