Position Title: Salesforce Administrator

Location: Remote work based in Michigan with occasional travel within the state

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hiring Salary Range : $67,725 - $75,250

Class : Exempt

Position Summary:

The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ECIC’s Salesforce environment. This position works across ECIC to understand business and program needs, improve processes, and ensure Salesforce effectively supports data collection, reporting, workflows, and organizational operations.

The Salesforce Administrator serves as ECIC’s primary Salesforce subject matter expert and a skilled facilitator, providing guidance and technical expertise to teams across the organization. This position will collaborate on cross-team projects, support staff in effectively using Salesforce, and coordinate with external Salesforce partners when additional technical expertise is needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain ECIC’s Salesforce environment, including system configuration, trouble-shooting, user access, automation, data quality, reporting, and ongoing system enhancements.
• Collaborate across ECIC on Salesforce-related projects and initiatives, including data collection, reporting, workflow development, process improvement, and other organizational needs.
• Serve as ECIC’s Salesforce subject matter expert and skilled facilitator, providing guidance, training, technical support, and coordination with internal teams and external Salesforce partners.

• Administer and maintain ECIC’s Salesforce environment, including system configuration, user access, automation, security, reporting, and data quality.
• Work collaboratively with teams across ECIC to understand business needs, improve processes, and develop Salesforce solutions that support program and organizational priorities.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data collection tools, and workflows that support operational needs, performance monitoring, and decision-making.
• Participate in cross-team projects involving Salesforce, data collection, reporting, workflow development, system enhancements, and process improvement.
• Serve as a skilled facilitator and Salesforce subject matter expert, providing guidance, training, and technical support to staff and helping teams effectively use the system.
• Troubleshoot system issues, test and implement enhancements, maintain system documentation, and coordinate with external Salesforce partners when additional technical support is needed.
• Represent ECIC professionally in internal and external meetings, workgroups, and projects related to Salesforce and organizational data systems.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 5 years of Salesforce administration experience.
• Experience supporting state systems, early childhood education programs, or similar public-sector environments preferred.
• Salesforce Certified Administrator certification required; additional Salesforce certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration, including configuration, automation, security, reporting, dashboards, data management, and system maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a Salesforce environment and translate business and program needs into practical system solutions.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to serve as a subject matter expert and work effectively across teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience supporting data collection, reporting, workflow development, and process improvement.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with staff, leadership, vendors, and other partners.

Physical Requirements:

Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others accurately. (4-5 hours daily)

Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound. (4-5 hours daily)

Walking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. (1-2 hours daily)

Standing – In one position, particularly for sustained periods of time. (1-2 hours daily)

Visual Acuity – Viewing objects with close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading. (5-6 hours daily)

Office Setting - Sedentary work in which exerting up to 10 pounds of force is occasional and a negligible amount of force is frequently or constantly used to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Remote work based in Michigan with occasional travel within the state or to other geographical areas for projects, ECIC meetings and to meet the needs of the organization.
