Insurance Agency Development Manager (Bilingual)

Northwest Partners is supporting a major initiative with a top-tier organization in the insurance space and is looking for an experienced Agency Development Manager to contribute to the success of this work. This role will focus on developing agency relationships, improving qualified submissions, and growing policies in force through territory-based agency engagement, training, and strategic account support.

What YOU will do

Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing independent insurance agencies to increase qualified submissions and grow policies in force.

Manage an assigned territory through frequent agency visits, phone calls, virtual meetings, and other direct engagement, with approximately 65% to 70% travel.

Identify agency opportunities through prospecting and develop relationships with agencies that can contribute to profitable growth.

Understand each agency's business model, goals, and submission practices and provide practical guidance to improve account quality and placement opportunities.

Provide training and ongoing support on systems, products, underwriting guidelines, and submission processes.

Serve as a subject matter resource on property and casualty insurance offerings and enterprise systems while monitoring industry and competitive trends.

Maintain accurate agency activity, account information, and follow-up actions in Salesforce or a comparable CRM.

Monitor territory performance and key metrics to identify opportunities for additional agency engagement, training, or account development.

Partner with product and marketing teams to communicate agency feedback, competitive information, and opportunities for product or process improvements.

Manage territory priorities and administrative responsibilities effectively while maintaining consistent agency engagement.

Represent the organization professionally during agency visits, industry events, conferences, and other business activities.

Meet or exceed individual and team growth objectives and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

What YOU will bring us

2 to 4 years of property and casualty insurance industry experience.

Experience in territory sales, agency development, account management, or an agency-facing insurance role.

Experience managing a geographic territory and balancing field activity with administrative responsibilities.

Ability and willingness to travel frequently for in-person agency visits, including overnight travel as needed.

Strong understanding of the independent agency environment and the ability to identify ways to improve qualified submissions and policy growth.

Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with agency partners and influence stakeholders through active listening and consultative communication.

Strong time management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate with an entrepreneurial approach to territory ownership.

Ability to analyze business situations, think critically, and develop practical approaches to agency and territory challenges.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.

Property and casualty insurance license preferred.

Experience with excess and surplus insurance or personal lines preferred.

Previous outside field sales or agency account management experience preferred.

Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency preferred.

Ability to maintain acceptable motor vehicle and insurance requirements for routine business travel.
