Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily Local

Position Overview Class A CDL Truck Driver located in Sarasota, FL. Pay starts at $1,140 per week. The schedule is Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with 10‑hour days beginning at 6:00 PM. Drivers operate local, home‑daily routes within 50 miles of Sarasota, using a day‑cab tractor and a dry‑van trailer (48’ or 53’). The company provides paid training, a $1,200 loyalty bonus, and fully‑owned, safe trucks that are 36 months old or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 national locations. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines. Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs. Load and unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum age of 21 years. Pass Ryder Drug Test. Pass Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years. Pass DOT physical. Pass Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years. Must be able to operate a manual transmission. Day‑cab tractor and dry‑van trailer (48’ or 53’) required. Equipment proficiency: manual pallet jack, lift gate, and hand truck. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
